FC Argeș signs Senegalese forward Mamadou Mendy

FC Argeș has announced the signing of Senegalese forward Mamadou Mendy to strengthen its attacking lineup. The 25-year-old player, standing 1.85 meters tall, is a versatile attacker capable of playing on the left wing, right wing, or as a central striker.

Mendy began his career at SPES Academy and Guédiawaye FC in Senegal before moving to Europe in 2018. He spent five years in Montenegro playing for OFK Titograd, Jezero, and Petrovac, notably winning the Montenegrin Cup during his first season with OFK Titograd.

Following his time in Montenegro, Mendy moved to Turkish football in 2023, joining İstanbulspor. During his tenure in Turkey, he played in the Süper Lig and had a loan spell at Sakaryaspor, where he scored 10 goals in 31 appearances in the TFF 1. Lig.
