FC Augsburg completes transfers of Youngwoo Seol and Keven Schlotterbeck

FC Augsburg has completed two significant roster changes. The club has signed South Korean international Youngwoo Seol from Red Star Belgrade. Seol, a 27-year-old winger capable of playing on both flanks, has signed a contract through June 30, 2030. The transfer reportedly involves a fee of approximately 3.75 million euros plus bonuses and a sell-on clause. Seol brings extensive experience from the Serbian SuperLiga, the Champions League, and the Europa League, having also featured in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Simultaneously, FC Augsburg has announced the departure of defender Keven Schlotterbeck. The 29-year-old center-back is transferring to Southampton FC in the English Championship. The deal is reported to include a fixed transfer fee of 3.85 million euros, with Schlotterbeck signing a three-year contract. Schlotterbeck, who served as captain for Augsburg, stated the move is an exciting challenge to gain experience abroad.
