FC Barcelona signs Finnish forward Olivier Nkamhoua through 2028
FC Barcelona's basketball section announced its first signing for the 2026‑27 season: Finnish power forward Olivier Nkamhoua. The 26‑year‑old, 2.03 m tall, has signed a contract running until 30 June 2028 after leaving Italy's Pallacanestro Varese, where he posted 16.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and a 16.7 efficiency rating per game. The club highlighted his "energy in defence, anticipation on the rebound and offensive forcefulness". Nkamhoua, who grew up in Helsinki, played five NCAA seasons in the United States before stints in Germany’s Niners Chemnitz and the Basketball Champions League, and has represented Finland internationally.
He said, "I'm very happy to be here… my goal is to grow every day and be better than the previous year. Playing in the EuroLeague is exciting". The signing follows the departures of Laprovittola and Satoransky and is part of the squad rebuild under new head coach Aleksander Sekulic.
In the same window Barcelona also confirmed the acquisition of American guard Justin Robinson, 28, from Paris Basketball. Robinson, a former NBA player, averaged 14.6 points and 4.5 assists in the EuroLeague and will add backcourt depth to the project.
