FC Barcelona completes Joao Cancelo signing, strengthens attack

FC Barcelona have finalised the permanent transfer of right‑back Joao Cancelo from Saudi club Al Hilal. The deal, reportedly worth €10 million, includes a two‑year contract and follows a half‑season loan that was delayed by tax issues. Cancelo returns to the Camp Nou after Al Hilal initially resisted the sale.

The club has also added Anthony Gordon and German striker Karim Adeyemi, while the offensive unit now features Adeyemi, 19‑year‑old prodigy Lamine Yamal, Brazilian forward Raphinha and Ferran Torres. Coach Hansi Flick says the trio of Adeyemi, Yamal and Raphinha provides the speed, creativity and finishing needed to restore Barcelona to the top of European football and challenge for the Champions League.
