FC Barcelona completes pillar installation for Camp Nou roof

FC Barcelona has reached a significant milestone in the renovation of the Spotify Camp Nou with the completion of the pillar installation for the stadium's future roof.

A total of 46 steel pillars, each weighing 28 tons, have been installed, amounting to approximately 1,288 tons of steel. The next phase of construction involves mounting a compression ring, a large metal structure that will encircle the top of the stadium. Once this ring is in place, cables will be installed to support the roof, followed by a 48,000-square-meter membrane designed to cover the stadium's 105,000 seats. The club expects to complete the entire roof installation during the summer of 2027.
