FC Barcelona extends Hamza Abdelkarim's contract until 2030

FC Barcelona has reached an agreement to extend the contract of 18-year-old Egyptian striker Hamza Abdelkarim until June 30, 2030. The official signing ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 15 at the office of club president Joan Laporta.

Following his move from Egypt's Al Ahly, Abdelkarim has impressed the coaching staff, particularly during the pre-season where he emerged as a top scorer. Barcelona has reportedly increased his release clause from 15 million euros to 150 million euros to protect the player from interest from major European clubs like Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain.

Head coach Hansi Flick praised the player, stating that Abdelkarim possesses unique technical characteristics that make him a vital part of the club's future project. While he is expected to remain with the reserve team to maintain competitive rhythm, he has already made his official first-team debut in La Liga against Rayo Vallecano.
