Xavi Espart signs contract renewal with FC Barcelona until 2030

FC Barcelona has officially announced a contract renewal for 19-year-old academy graduate Xavi Espart, securing his future with the club until June 30, 2030. The versatile defender, who has become a key part of Hansi Flick’s first-team plans, has demonstrated the ability to play as a left-back, right-back, and in midfield.

Espart, a product of La Masia who joined the club in 2015, has seen a rapid rise following his debut last season. The new agreement includes an improved salary and a higher buyout clause, reflecting his transition from a youth prospect to a regular first-team option. The club’s decision to prioritize this extension follows his impressive performances in the current season, including a goal against Levante.

In addition to Espart, the club is also working on securing other young talents. Reports indicate that negotiations are advanced for contract extensions for players such as Raphinha and Marc Bernal, as Barcelona continues its strategy of building around homegrown talent.
