FC Barcelona reshapes summer transfer market under Hansi Flick's influence

Coach Hansi Flick has taken a leading role in FC Barcelona's summer transfer strategy, moving decision‑making power away from sporting director Deco. His influence is evident in the targeting of players such as Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi and the restructuring of the backroom staff.

The club is preparing to sell 22‑year‑old midfielder Marc Casadó, setting an asking price of €30‑40 million. Saudi Arabian clubs, especially Al‑Hilal, are the main suitors, while European teams like AS Monaco and several Premier League clubs have also shown interest. Agent Jorge Mendes is negotiating the deal.

Barcelona also monitors the situation of former La Masia defender Sergi Domínguez, who remains on Dinamo Zagreb's books for €14 million. If the Croatian side sells him, Barcelona would receive roughly €3 million from a sell‑on clause and training compensation. The club hopes these player movements will strengthen its finances amid ongoing budget constraints.
