FC Barcelona faces defensive squad changes ahead of transfer window

FC Barcelona is contemplating significant changes to its defensive lineup ahead of the January transfer window. The club is reportedly monitoring several players to bolster its squad, including Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso, who is valued at approximately 30 million euros and can play on both flanks.

Several current players face uncertain futures at the Camp Nou. Alejandro Balde is reportedly struggling to secure regular playing time under manager Hansi Flick, leading to interest from AS Roma, Manchester United, and Liverpool. Additionally, Jules Koundé’s future has become a subject of speculation following a meeting between club director Deco and Koundé’s agent, amid concerns over the player's recent form and injury issues.

The club may look to sell existing assets, such as Balde or Koundé, to finance new acquisitions. This defensive restructuring comes as the team prepares for high-stakes fixtures, including the upcoming El Clásico against Real Madrid.
