FC Barcelona Foundation expands social and refugee aid

The FC Barcelona Foundation continues its social integration efforts through the ‘Joves Futur +’ program, which provides vocational training to approximately one hundred unemployed youths annually. The foundation’s work spans 109 municipalities in Catalonia and 23 countries worldwide.

According to Marta Segú i Estruch, General Director of the Foundation, the organization collaborates with entities such as UNHCR to assist refugees and displaced persons in nations including Colombia, Greece, Uganda, Turkey, Malaysia, and El Salvador. The foundation is funded by a commitment made in 2005 to allocate 0.7% of the club’s ordinary income to its social causes, supplemented by contributions from high-earning players.
