FC Barcelona targets 700 million euros from new VIP stadium licenses
FC Barcelona has announced a new commercial strategy for its renovated Spotify Camp Nou stadium, focusing on the sale of long-term VIP seat licenses. In partnership with the US-based company Legends Global, the club plans to offer 2,000 additional VIP seats through exclusive 15- or 30-year licenses. This initiative is expected to generate approximately 700 million euros in guaranteed revenue over the duration of the contracts.
The club has already seen success with this model, having previously commercialized nearly 5,000 VIP seats for over 380 million euros. The new phase of hospitality aims to complete all sales within the next two and a half seasons. This revenue stream is a critical component of the club’s economic strategy as it manages the rising costs of the massive stadium reconstruction project, which is slated for completion by the 2028/29 season.
Beyond commercial ventures, the renovated stadium is gaining international recognition. Having been designated to host the 2029 Champions League final, there is growing optimism among club officials and Catalan institutions regarding its potential to host the final match of the 2030 World Cup.
