FC Barcelona secures perfect start to 2026/2027 season

FC Barcelona has achieved a perfect start to the 2026/2027 season, securing eight consecutive wins in La Liga. Key contributors include Raphinha, who set a club record with 12 goals in the first eight matches, and a high-intensity defensive work rate under manager Hansi Flick. The team has significantly increased its collective running distance compared to previous seasons, aided by signings such as Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi.

In pursuit of further offensive reinforcement, Barcelona officials, including sporting director Deco, expressed interest in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martínez. However, negotiations did not proceed after Inter Milan officials stated the Argentine player is non-transferable. The club reportedly shifted its focus after failing to secure Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid during the summer transfer window.
