Hansi Flick explains Raphinha’s tactical role at FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has highlighted the tactical repositioning of Raphinha, who has transitioned into a number 9 role this season. Flick noted that Raphinha’s high intensity and willingness to lead the team's pressing make him ideal for this position, combining offensive efficiency with strong defensive work.

Since the start of the season, Raphinha has demonstrated exceptional form, scoring 12 goals in seven matches. This performance has surpassed previous scoring records for the same number of games held by Lionel Messi, trailing only Cristiano Ronaldo’s record. Flick praised the player's leadership and top-tier dynamics observed during training.

Following a match against Sevilla, Sevilla manager Luis García Plaza commented on Raphinha’s impact, expressing surprise that the Brazilian has not been nominated for the Ballon d'Or given his comprehensive contribution to the pitch. García Plaza also acknowledged the superlatitve level of the Barcelona squad.
