FC Barcelona signs Egyptian striker Hamza Abdelkarim

FC Barcelona have activated the €1.5 million buy‑out clause for Al Ahly’s 18‑year‑old forward Hamza Abdelkarim, with variables that could raise the total fee to about €5 million. The club secured the deal for less than €3 million, aiming to add a young talent dubbed the “Faraón del Gol” and compared with Mohamed Salah.

Abdelkarim, who will wear the number 9 for Egypt at the 2026 World Cup, has already impressed in Barcelona’s youth ranks and the U‑17 African Cup.
