FC Barcelona squad shifts as Gavi faces competition and Gordon excels

FC Barcelona is experiencing significant shifts in its squad hierarchy under manager Hansi Flick. Midfielder Gavi has seen a reduction in playing time, losing his place in the starting lineup due to health issues and the arrival of Rodri. The new signing has quickly become a central figure in the midfield alongside Pedri, leaving Gavi to compete for minutes against both Rodri and Marc Bernal.

Meanwhile, Anthony Gordon has made a successful start following his €80 million transfer from Newcastle United. Gordon revealed that he initially found the move difficult to believe until a phone call with Hansi Flick confirmed the deal. The winger has quickly integrated into the team, recording five assists in six appearances and working on his Catalan language skills to connect with the supporters.
