FC Barcelona targets contract renewals for rising young talents

Following a summer transfer window that saw six major signings, FC Barcelona is now focused on securing the futures of its rising young talents. The club aims to improve the financial terms and contract lengths for several players who have earned increased roles under manager Hansi Flick.

Striker Hamza Abdelkarim has already seen his contract extended to 2030 with improved salary and release clause terms following an impressive pre-season. The club is now targeting four other young players for similar upgrades.

Midfielder Marc Bernal, 19, is currently in talks with sporting director Deco to improve his financial conditions following his successful recovery from a knee injury. His release clause was previously raised to 500 million euros as a show of support. Additionally, the club intends to offer a new contract to 24-year-old defender Gerard Martin to increase both his salary and his 100 million euro release clause. 19-year-old Xavi Espart is also reportedly among those being considered for a new deal.
