FC Barcelona targets young talent Arthur Dias and signs Dany Freire

The club’s scouting chief, João Amaral, recently traveled to Brazil to personally observe 19-year-old left-footed center-back Arthur Dias during an Athletico Paranaense match against Bahia. Dias, a Brazilian U-20 international, is viewed as a high-potential, affordable option that fits Hansi Flick’s tactical requirements for ball progression.

In youth development, Barcelona has finalized the signing of Portuguese forward Dany Freire. Freire, who will officially join the club’s Juvenil B structure upon turning 16 this weekend, impressed technical staff during his trial period with his mobility and goal-scoring ability. He joins the academy from Racing FC Union.
