FC Barcelona wins 2026 Supertaça Ibérica handball title

FC Barcelona won the 2026 Supertaça Ibérica handball title after defeating Sporting CP with a score of 39-34 in the final. Sporting CP secured their third consecutive silver medal in the competition.

During the first half, the match remained highly competitive, with Sporting CP trailing by only one goal at the interval (19-18). Although the team led by Ricardo Costa managed to reduce the deficit to three goals by the 56th minute, Barcelona maintained their advantage to claim the victory.

Prior to the final, Sporting CP secured their place in the championship match by defeating Irudek Bidasoa Irun 31-29.
