FC Barcelona wins Lliga Catalana title amid Brizuela injury

FC Barcelona secured the Lliga Catalana title after defeating Girona 96-87, but the victory was overshadowed by a serious injury to Darío Brizuela. The 32-year-old Spanish shooting guard had to be carried off the court at the Palau d’Esports Catalunya late in the third quarter after injuring his right ankle.

Under the direction of coach Aleksandar Sekulic, Barcelona overcame an early deficit and a nine-point lead held by Girona. Jocel Para led the scoring for the ‘Blaugrana’ with 21 points, supported by contributions from Kevin Punter, Justin Robinson, and Josh Nimmons.
