FC Basel and Grasshoppers play to a scoreless draw

FC Basel and Grasshoppers Club Zurich ended their Super League matchup in a 0-0 draw. Despite controlling much of the possession, Basel struggled to convert opportunities, notably missing a long-range shot from Becir Omeragic that struck the crossbar early in the match.

Grasshoppers focused on a defensive strategy with a young squad. The match was marked by an injury to Grasshoppers goalkeeper Marvin Hübel, who had to be replaced by Justin Hammel. Both teams, led by coaches Slavisa Jokanovic and Olaf Janssen, continue to search for their first league win and first goal of the season.

For Basel, the result extends a difficult home record, as the team remains without a home victory since early August.
