FC Bayern Basketball struggles in EuroLeague despite Bundesliga dominance

FC Bayern Munich's basketball team is experiencing a stark contrast between domestic and international performance. While the team remains undefeated in the German Bundesliga, maintaining a significant scoring advantage over competitors, they are facing a severe crisis in the EuroLeague.

The team has suffered seven losses in nine season games, including a recent four-game losing streak. This includes a narrow 84:88 home defeat against FC Barcelona and a heavy 73:103 loss against Red Star Belgrade. In the Belgrade match, the team struggled to compete physically, trailing by 17 points at halftime and conceding 31 points in a single ten-minute stretch during the third quarter.

Despite the international setbacks, the team continues to lead the Bundesliga standings. Upcoming domestic fixtures include games against the Rostock Seawolves and Löwen Braunschweig, while their EuroLeague schedule features away games against ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne, Valencia Basket, and Zalgiris Kaunas.
