FC Bayern München faces massive ticket demand and potential share sale

FC Bayern München is experiencing unprecedented demand for match tickets, with CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen reporting nearly 350,000 requests for the upcoming ‘Der Klassiker’ against Borussia Dortmund. This demand is nearly five times the 75,000-seat capacity of the Allianz Arena.

Despite this massive interest, the club maintains a policy of keeping ticket prices accessible for lower-income fans. Individual tickets range from 15 to 80 euros, and the club’s season ticket prices remain among the most affordable in the Bundesliga.

Separately, reports indicate the club is considering the sale of its final 5% stake in its public limited company (AG). The Viessmann Generations Group is a potential buyer in a deal that could be valued at approximately 250 million euros. While club officials have not officially confirmed the negotiations, the move would consolidate ownership among existing partners and the Viessmann group.
