FC Botoșani owner Valeriu Iftime disputes contract with Miguel Munoz

Valeriu Iftime, owner of FC Botoșani, has expressed extreme frustration regarding Spanish central defender Miguel Munoz. Despite being with the club since July 2025, Munoz has reportedly played very little, with his last appearance occurring in February.

Iftime stated that Munoz earns a monthly salary between 10,000 and 12,000 euros and refuses to terminate his contract amicably, despite offers of three to five months' salary to leave. Iftime compared the difficulty of this situation to a previous dispute with coach Bogdan Andone, noting that Munoz is acting as a ‘contract hunter’ by demanding full payment until the contract expires in a year.

The owner also criticized the decision to transfer the player, noting that while the player was highly recommended by Leo Grozavu, his performance has not met expectations.
