FC Cartagena defeats Real Murcia 1-0 in late derby victory

FC Cartagena secured a 1-0 victory against Real Murcia in a regional derby at the Cartagonova Stadium. The decisive moment came in the 98th or 99th minute when defender Imanol Baz scored a volley following a corner sequence involving Pablo de Blasis.

The match, which was a postponed fixture from the fifth round of the Primera RFEF, saw Cartagena dominate much of the second half after a balanced opening period. With this win, the team coached by Íñigo Vélez reaches 11 points from six matches, moving into fifth place and within the promotion playoff zone.

Real Murcia, managed by Sergi Guilló, remains in fourth place with 12 points. Despite several opportunities in the first half, the visiting side was unable to capitalize, and the late goal ended their recent winning streak.
