FC Copenhagen to face SC Braga in Conference League opener

FC Copenhagen and SC Braga face each other at Parken Stadium on Thursday, October 15, 2026, to begin their UEFA Conference League league-phase campaigns. Both clubs enter the match following recent domestic setbacks; Copenhagen lost 2-1 to Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga, while Braga suffered a 3-1 defeat against Sporting CP in Portugal.

Copenhagen manager Bo Svensson has expressed respect for Braga, noting their recent achievement as near-finalists in the Europa League. The match features a notable narrative as Jonas Wind, a former Copenhagen player, returns to the Danish capital playing for Braga.

Copenhagen enters the fixture with a strong home record, having won seven consecutive competitive matches at Parken this season. Braga, despite recent fluctuations in form, brings significant continental experience to the encounter. Both teams are positioned in the first pot of the competition due to their UEFA coefficients.
