FC DAC 1904 and FC Twente draw 3-3 in Conference League return leg

In the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League, FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda and FC Twente Enschede played their return leg at the MOL Aréna. Following a heavy 0-6 defeat in the first leg in the Netherlands, the Slovakian side faced a nearly impossible task to advance.

The return match ended in a 3-3 draw. DAC goals were scored by Abdoulaye Gueye, Klemen Nemanič, and Prince Owusu, while Marko Pjaca scored twice for Twente, including a goal in stoppage time. Despite the spirited comeback from the home side, Twente secured their progression to the play-offs.

Ahead of the match, Twente coach John van den Brom opted to rest several players, including Wout Weghorst and Lars Unnerstall, due to their significant lead from the first leg. Twente is set to face either FK Qarabag or Dynamo Kyiv in the next round.
