FC Den Bosch fans gift new scooter to injured steward

Fransien Maas, a long-time steward for FC Den Bosch, has received a new Vespa scooter following a successful fundraising campaign by club supporters.

Maas was seriously injured in August after being struck by an 80-year-old driver while traveling to a match. The accident resulted in a collapsed lung, a broken shoulder blade, and three broken ribs, requiring several days in intensive care.

In response to the incident, fans organized a collection that raised 5,900 euros within 24 hours. Maas, described as a ‘cult hero’ among the M-Side supporters, received the new scooter and a custom FC Den Bosch helmet during a gathering at the supporters' home.
