FC Goa signs Spanish defender Álex Zalaya

FC Goa announced the signing of Spanish centre‑back Álex Zalaya ahead of the 2026‑27 Indian Super League season. The 28‑year‑old arrives with experience at clubs including Real Zaragoza, FC Barcelona B, Sporting de Gijón B, UD Logroñés, Extremadura UD, UD Ibiza and Real Murcia.

Lokesh Bherwani, FC Goa’s Director of Football, said the club is delighted to add Zalaya’s technical ability, aerial strength and leadership to the backline. Head Coach Gouramangi Singh praised his composure, ball‑playing skills and professionalism, noting he will help the team achieve its objectives. Zalaya expressed his happiness to join the club and eagerness to contribute on the pitch.
