FC Groningen launches podcast series on transfer window insights

A new five-part podcast series titled ‘Groen Licht’ offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at FC Groningen’s recent transfer window. Created in collaboration with the club, the series follows the decision-making processes, negotiations, and challenges faced by the management team.

Creators Thijs Faber, Wouter Holsappel, Maarten Siepel, and Jeffrey Ras from the supporter podcast ‘Kon Veel Minder’ shadowed General Director Frank van Mosselveld and Technical Director Mo Allach for three months. The series explores how various factors, such as injuries or shifts in the transfer market, impact club plans. It also addresses specific player movements, including the departure of Marvin Peersman and the unexpected return of Hans Hateboer after the transfer window had officially closed.

The podcast episodes will be released periodically through early October, concluding with a special live show at the Euroborg stadium on October 9, with proceeds benefiting charity.
