FC Groningen signs Swedish midfielder Alvin Nordin from Helsingborg

FC Groningen announced the signing of 18‑year‑old Swedish youth international Alvin Nordin on a four‑year contract that runs until 2030. The midfielder arrives from Helsingborg IF, where he made 28 appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists, and has represented Sweden at U15, U17, U18 and U19 levels.

The club described Nordin as a player suited to the Eredivisie’s high‑tempo, attacking style and said he will join the first‑team squad with the aim of debuting quickly. Swedish media have reported a transfer fee of roughly €1 million. Nordin expressed confidence that he can adapt, grow physically and become a regular contributor for Groningen.
