FC Hansa Rostock secured a 3-2 victory against VfB Stuttgart II in their first 3. Liga match following the departure of coach Daniel Brinkmann. The win at Ostseestadion was secured by a late 88th-minute goal from Benno Dietze.

Despite an early lead from Leon Dajaku in the 23rd minute, Hansa Rostock surrendered a 2-0 advantage as Stuttgart II equalized through Lauri Penna and Veit Stange. Kenan Fatkic had previously scored a penalty for the visitors. Dietze's late strike provided the club's first home win since early May.
