FC KusPa wins Salon Mestaruussarja football championship

FC KusPa has secured the Salon Mestaruussarja football championship after a dramatic final match against Harvesters. The title was decided by goal difference, as both teams finished the deciding match in a draw.

The championship match, held at the Sauli Niinistö Sports Park, was marked by high tension. Harvesters saw an early goal disallowed following a referee consultation, and later played with a man disadvantage after Harri Känkkänen received a straight red card. Harvesters managed to equalize in the penultimate minute through Arttu Hakamäki, but Nestori Aaltonen scored the decisive goal for FC KusPa in the second half.

FC Soppa secured the bronze medal in the morning session. Following the victory, FC KusPa players celebrated their first title in three years with a traditional champagne spray, despite the uncertainty of the match outcome until the final whistle.
