FC Langen draws 1-1 with VfR Fehlheim in relegation semi‑final

In the first leg of the Verbandsliga Süd relegation semi‑final, 1. FC Langen and VfR Fehlheim were locked at 1‑1. Dominik Curkovic opened the scoring for Langen after an early chance, while Marc Perchner had put Fehlheim ahead in the 18th minute. The match was briefly halted by a thunderstorm and saw a number of injuries, including a shin‑bone wound to Langen’s Elias Sonntag. Langen coach Marco Betz said, “Letztlich ist das Ergebnis gerecht,” and praised his side’s response after falling behind.

The teams will meet again on Sunday at 18:00 in Fehlheim for the decisive second leg, with the winner advancing to the Verbandsliga Süd final scheduled for 10 June.
