FC Les Aigles du Congo challenges player registration as TP Mazembe wins DRC league
FC Les Aigles du Congo has filed a dispute with the Fédération Congolaise de Football Association (FECOFA) over the eligibility and registration of player Chadrack Bingi Belo, alleging procedural irregularities in his transfer to TP Mazembe. The club warned that FECOFA's threats to suspend its affiliation were unwarranted and said the matter would be taken to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.
Meanwhile, the Ligue Nationale de Football (Linafoot) confirmed TP Mazembe as the champion of the 31st edition of the DR Congo Ligue 1 after a season marked by legal challenges. The final standings also qualified FC Les Aigles du Congo and AS Maniema Union for continental competitions, securing spots in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup respectively.
