FC Lorient draws 2-2 with Toulouse after squandering two-goal lead
FC Lorient surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against Toulouse in a Ligue 1 match at the Stade du Moustoir. Lorient established a commanding advantage before halftime through goals from Ibrahima Baldé in the 37th minute and Noah Mbamba two minutes later.
Toulouse mounted a second-half comeback with Casper Tengstedt scoring shortly after the restart and Thomas Jørgensen equalizing in the 68th minute. Ghana international defender Nathaniel Adjei played the full 90 minutes and received a 7.0 match rating despite the result.
Adjei expressed frustration following the match, stating, “We are very disappointed because we had the game in our hands.” He emphasized the need for the team to learn from the inability to protect their lead. The draw leaves Lorient in eighth place in the standings with five points from four matches.
