Lausanne railway station riots involve fans attacking police

Following a Super League match between Lausanne-Sport and FC Servette on September 13, 2026, violent clashes erupted at the Lausanne railway station. Approximately 40 fans, some wearing masks, targeted police officers with pyrotechnics and mortars.

Prior to the incident, FC Servette supporters had boycotted the match, refusing to enter the stadium despite being transported to the venue by bus. After the game, while most fans boarded a special train, a group of approximately 40 individuals engaged in the confrontation at the station. Law enforcement responded with rubber bullets to manage the situation. While no injuries were reported, several instances of property damage occurred, and criminal investigations are currently underway.
