FC Luzern defeats FC Vaduz 2-1 to end 18-year drought
FC Luzern secured a 2-1 victory against FC Vaduz at the Swissporarena, marking their first win against the side in eighteen years. Julian Stark opened the scoring for Luzern following an assist from Lutfi Dalipi. Although Ruben Dantas Fernandes equalized for Vaduz in the 59th minute, Luzern clinched the win with a 91st-minute goal from Nando Toggenburger.
Following the match, FC Luzern coach Udo Portmann addressed the team's current situation, noting the challenge of managing a large 30-man squad. Portmann stated that while some players are dissatisfied with their playing time, they are behaving professionally. He also confirmed that goalkeeper Karlo Letica will remain the starting choice despite recent performances.
