FC Machida Zelvia signs Koki Ogawa and nears deal for Thomas Ouwejan

FC Machida Zelvia has completed the registration of Japan national team forward Koki Ogawa following his transfer from NEC Nijmegen. Ogawa made his debut for the club in a J1 League match against Mito HollyHock, appearing as a second-half substitute while wearing a protective face guard due to a facial injury. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, halting Machida's winning streak.

In addition to Ogawa's arrival, Machida is reportedly nearing an agreement to sign Thomas Ouwejan from NEC Nijmegen. The 29-year-old left-sided player, who previously played for Schalke 04 and Udinese, is expected to join the squad pending a medical examination. Ogawa stated that his decision to return to the J.League was driven by a desire to find the best environment to perform for the national team and prepare for the World Cup.
