FC Memmingen prepares for sold-out match against TSV 1860 München
FC Memmingen is preparing for a high-demand Regionalliga home match against TSV 1860 München. The match is completely sold out, with all 5,000 available tickets gone. Club chairman Andreas Minkenberg noted that demand was so high that an additional 1,000 to 2,000 tickets could have potentially been sold.
To manage the large crowd, the club is deploying over 100 volunteers for tasks such as entry control, stewarding, and kiosk operations, alongside increased professional security and a police presence. The Bavarian Football Association has classified the match with a ‘Yellow’ risk rating, requiring enhanced security measures and person checks, though strict separation of fan groups is not mandated.
Unlike some other clubs, FC Memmingen has decided not to implement a price surcharge for this high-profile fixture. Day boxes will remain closed, as entry is only permitted for those who purchased tickets in advance.
