FC Metz signs midfielder Teji Savanier

FC Metz has announced the signing of 34-year-old midfielder Teji Savanier. During an exceptional press conference, President Bernard Serina confirmed the deal, which consists of one season with an option for extension.

Savanier, a native of Montpellier with over 450 professional matches under his belt, joins the club as a free agent. The club president stated that Savanier's experience will be used to “encadrer les jeunes talents” (mentor young talents).

Savanier is the sixth summer recruit for the club, following Jean Ruiz, Florian Miguel, Idris Mohamed, Nampalys Mendy, and Cristian Devenish. FC Metz is aiming for an immediate return to the top tier of French football.
