FC Nantes sale talks with British investors denied by owner
French media reported that a protocol of sale had been signed between FC Nantes and a group of investors backed by British funds, with a condition that the club generate €70 million from player sales during the current transfer window. Recent transfers – striker Matthis Abline to AS Monaco for €30 million and goalkeeper Alban Lafont to Turkey for €1 million – were cited as steps toward that target, and interest in players such as Moussa Sissoko, Johann Lepenant, Louis Leroux and defender Tylel Tati (Chelsea reportedly offered €30 million) was noted.
Waldemar Kita’s representatives publicly refuted the claim, stating that no protocol has been signed and describing the story as an unfounded rumor intended to destabilise the club.
