FC Nantes seeks goalkeeper reinforcement after Alexis Mirbach injury

FC Nantes is facing squad depth challenges following a serious meniscus injury to second-choice goalkeeper Alexis Mirbach during training. The 21-year-old may require surgery, potentially sidelining him for several months. Manager Grégory Poirier has emphasized the necessity of having three professional goalkeepers in the squad, as Maxime Dupé currently remains the only experienced option.

To address this emergency, the club is considering recruiting a medical joker or a free agent. Potential candidates being studied include Arnaud Bodart from LOSC, 20-year-old Paul Argney from Le Havre, and former Nantes goalkeeper Patrick Carlgren.

In addition to the goalkeeper crisis, the club is managing other injuries, including Killian Corredor and Fabien Centonze. However, Sekou Doucouré and Igniatius Ganago are expected to return to the squad.
