FC Nantes struggles in Ligue 2 following draw against Clermont

FC Nantes is facing a difficult season in Ligue 2 after a 1-1 draw against Clermont Foot. Despite taking an early lead through Frédéric Guilbert, the team conceded an equalizer in the second half, leaving them in 15th place with nine points after eleven matches.

The club currently sits only one point ahead of Grenoble, the bottom team in the league, and trails league leaders AS Saint-Étienne by sixteen points. Following the match, defender Fabien Centonze expressed pessimism regarding the club's chances of promotion to Ligue 1, stating that the team must focus on individual matches rather than promotion goals.

Coach Grégory Poirier also criticized the squad's performance, citing a lack of concentration and missed opportunities. Poirier called for a self-assessment among certain players, noting that the team failed to respect the difficulty of the championship.
