FC Nantes weighs retaining teenage defender Tylel Tati amid transfer interest
FC Nantes president Waldemar Kita said the club may keep 18‑year‑old defender Tylel Tati, who is estimated to be worth €25‑30 million. Despite interest from several top‑flight European clubs, Nantes is not under financial pressure to sell; the club passed its DNCG audit and has a transfer budget of €30‑35 million. Tati, under contract until 2030, has already made 20 Ligue 1 appearances and could gain more experience in Ligue 2 if the team remains relegated. Retaining him would give Nantes a cornerstone for a possible promotion push, while a sale would provide a sizable one‑off fee.
Kita highlighted the club’s stable finances and its strategy of building around academy products, noting that keeping Tati could increase his market value further.
