FC Osaka cancels signing of defender Takuto Asano

J3 League club FC Osaka announced on August 23 that the planned signing of defender Takuto Asano has been canceled due to the player's strong personal preference.

Asano, 25, had previously been announced to be joining the club on a permanent transfer. However, he has instead decided to play in the Malaysia Super League for Melaka FC.

In a statement released through the club, Asano expressed his gratitude to FC Osaka for providing him the opportunity to play in the J League, while also expressing regret for the sudden change in plans. He concluded by wishing the club success in their pursuit of promotion to J2.
