FC Osaka supporters announce protest against club management
The supporter group ‘EAST OSAKA UNIONS’ has announced a partial boycott of cheering activities during FC Osaka’s upcoming J3 League match against Kagoshima United FC. The group stated that recent decisions by the club have significantly damaged the trust of fans and supporters.
Specific grievances cited include the club’s decision to hold home games outside of Osaka Prefecture and sudden schedule changes made less than a month before matches. As a form of silent protest, the group will refrain from all group-led cheering from the end of player introductions until ten minutes into the first half. Additionally, they will limit their banner displays to player-related banners only, though they noted that individual fans are not prohibited from bringing their own banners.
The group has requested a formal meeting with club management to resolve these issues and aims to reach a solution as quickly as possible.
