FC Porto maintains perfect record with 2-1 win over Marítimo

FC Porto maintained a perfect winning record in the I Liga, securing their eighth consecutive victory with a 2-1 away win against Marítimo.

Marítimo took an early lead in the 16th minute through a long-distance strike by Gábor Szalai, following a misjudgment by Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa. Porto responded before halftime when Victor Froholdt equalized by tapping in a rebound from a Francisco Moura header.

The decisive moment arrived in the 84th minute when 18-year-old Polish winger Oskar Pietuszewski scored a curling goal into the top corner after receiving a pass from Jakub Kiwior. The goal was subject to a VAR review for a potential offside but was ultimately confirmed as valid by a minimal margin. The victory highlights the impact of substitute Pietuszewski and the tactical management of coach Francesco Farioli.
