FC Porto negotiate for South Korean midfielder Hwang In-beom from Feyenoord

FC Porto are in active talks with Dutch club Feyenoord to sign South Korean midfielder Hwang In-beom. Initial offers from Porto were rejected, with Feyenoord demanding a fee of at least €7 million, while the Portuguese side aims to lower the price. The player, 27, is expected to earn a net €1.5 million per year on a three‑year contract, with a possible fourth‑year option. Negotiations are ongoing as the summer transfer window closes, and both clubs are seeking to finalize terms before the deadline.

Porto’s board, led by André Villas‑Boas, hopes to secure the deal below the €7 million ask, citing a contractual release clause that allows the move for less. Hwang, who has featured for South Korea at the 2026 World Cup and previously played for clubs such as Red Star Belgrade, Olympiacos and Rubin Kazan, is seen as a versatile box‑to‑box midfielder who would replace departing player Seko Fofana in Porto’s midfield.
