FC Porto players sweep Liga Portugal August awards

FC Porto players have dominated the Liga Portugal monthly awards for August. Spanish midfielder Gabri Veiga was named Player of the Month, securing 19.05% of the coaches' votes. Veiga also earned the distinction of Best Midfielder for the month, having recorded three goals and two assists in four matches.

Goalkeeper Diogo Costa was voted the best goalkeeper of the month with 39.29% of the votes. He maintained a clean sheet in all four matches played during the period. Additionally, FC Porto's Kiwior received the award for Best Defender.

Veiga's strong performance has also drawn attention from the Spanish national team, with reports indicating he is a potential candidate for Luis de la Fuente's upcoming Nations League squad.
