FC Regar-TadAZ defeats FC Goa 2-1 in AFC Challenge League opener
FC Regar-TadAZ of Tajikistan secured a 2-1 comeback victory against FC Goa in their AFC Challenge League Group C opener. The match was held at the Mohammed Al-Hamad Stadium in Hawally, Kuwait.
FC Goa took an early lead in the seventh minute when Chiki scored to put the Indian side ahead. However, Regar-TadAZ mounted a late comeback in the final minutes of the match. Abdurakhmon Nozimov set up Faridun Davlatov for an equalizer in the 85th minute, and the pair combined again in the 90th minute, with Davlatov scoring a header to secure the win for the Tajik club.
FC Goa, the AIFF Super Cup champions, will look to recover in their next Group C fixture against Bangladesh's Fortis FC.
